I'm in Madrid at the moment, the first destination on my 6 months long backpacker trip! The last time I rambled on about my travels on this blog was when I lived in the States a few years back, and once again I´ll make an attempt to keep friends and fam updated on my pursuit of happiness.
Madrid is such a lovely city. If you haven't been, you should go! There are so many cozy cafes and restaurants, and you eat the most delicious tapas and drink wine all day. People are awesome and the place is liberal and artsy - just the way I like it. I'm staying with my Icelandic friend Hallveig, who studies here, and she lives smack in the middle of the beautiful city. She shares an apartment with Alec Baldwin and a pig. Artists... We've roamed around the city in fabulous hats all week. This city gives me an urge to embrace my inner boho hipster persona and start a street style blog or something. After a crossfit gym session tomorrow morning, I fly off to Bangkok, Thailand, where my South East Asia adventure will begin! Exciting times ahead. Oh, and my phone got stolen, so if you want to call me, you can´t.
